What we think on is important? What you think on you will eventually do. When we become born again we don't get a new mind, we get a new spirit. We are made up of three parts, a spirit, a soul, and a body. Your spirit is alive to God, its new. Your soul, your mind, will and emotions have to be renewed. Your flesh is not renewed it is corrupt. Your mind is the determining factor in what direction you will go. This is why we are instructed to guard it. Something that is valuable is guarded. Your mind sets the boundaries of your life. When you remove boundaries from your life, you are inviting chaos into your life. The mind needs a standard to build its boundaries upon. The standard for our lives can be the word, we just have to renew our mind with it.
